As a senior associate, Jarell performs due diligence activities including competitive landscape research, market sizing and financial evaluation. He supports deal flow, from helping source and analyze pipeline companies to closing investments and refining Energize’s investment theses.
Jarell brings a decade of experience in the energy and industrial industries. For six years, he worked as a project and reliability engineer for Phillips 66, where he designed, managed and supervised instrumentation and control systems projects. While pursuing his MBA, Jarell gained comprehensive finance experience through his work with Chicago startups and private asset classes, including a VC internship with Mercury Fund. He is also a member of numerous organizations and communities, such as the Robert Toigo Foundation, Management Leadership for Tomorrow, Future VC, BLCK VC and Republic.
Jarell holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University.
