Since our founding, Energize has focused on being the specialist capital partner for asset-light companies shaping the next chapter of the economy, from the energy transition to industrial digitization to infrastructure resilience. That mission hasn’t changed, but the opportunity in front of us—and the team required to seize it—has grown dramatically.
Our Ventures platform, led by co-heads Tyler Lancaster and Juan Muldoon, was built to meet the needs of early-stage companies bringing new technologies to market. These founders needed partners who could help them scale products, sharpen operations, and develop their commercial footholds. To serve them, we assembled a team with deep roots across both finance and energy—people who could see the market opportunity and structure the capital to meet it.
As the sector advanced, these software-driven climate companies began to reach scale the sector had not yet seen. They had outgrown the bounds of traditional venture support, but there wasn’t yet a capital partner designed for their next chapter. To meet that need, we brought on Kevin Stevens, an energy industry veteran, to launch our growth platform, equipping later-stage companies with the capital and expertise to bridge the gap between venture and maturity.
Today, the market has leapt forward again. Ballooning energy demand, industrial digitization, and infrastructure transformation have given rise to a new set of mission-critical businesses. Unlike the venture-backed companies we’ve helped scale through Ventures and Growth, many of these firms charted a different path—growing profitably through self-funding or low-cost capital, often outside the spotlight. They have become the silent backbone of modern energy and industry, yet they’ve lacked a specialist partner who understands the nuances of their markets and can help them realize their full potential.
That’s why we are progressing into a new chapter of our Endurance team, built to execute Energize’s private equity strategy for asset-light, profitable companies ready for their next phase of growth. Endurance makes both control and minority investments, partnering closely with business founders and management teams to sustain durable, profitable growth. Just as we expanded our team at each stage of the market’s evolution—first with Ventures, then with Growth—Alan’s addition marks our latest commitment to being the partner that a company building in the asset-light climate space deserves.

Every stage of Energize’s growth has been marked by the right people stepping in at the right time, and Endurance is no different. Over the past year, we searched for a leader who could bring institutional depth and private equity experience to match the scale of this opportunity, further expanding the foundation Kevin and the team have built and helping define the next phase of our strategy.
Alan Glass was the clear fit. He most recently spent seven and a half years at Vista Equity Partners, one of the largest and first technology-focused private equity firms in the world, where he was a senior investor within the firm’s flagship private equity fund strategy. At Vista, he was responsible for sourcing, diligencing, structuring, and executing private equity investments, as well as partnering with management teams and other stakeholders to maximize the equity value of those investments through Vista’s ownership. He also had significant involvement in recruiting, training, managing, and mentoring other members of the Vista team. Those skills—developed at one of the most sophisticated software-focused buyout platforms in the world—are a powerful addition to Endurance. Just as importantly, Alan stood out for his cultural alignment: a collaborative approach, a long-term perspective, and genuine conviction in Energize’s mission.
